I Do Not Have A Referral

As of July 1, 2023, patients in Virginia no longer need a referral to be treated by a Doctor of Physical Therapy with the following exceptions: 

1. The patient is not already being seen by a medical doctor for the specific condition or diagnosis for which they wish to be treated for with physical therapy.
2. Medicare as the primary insurance will allow for a one visit evaluation, but further treatment requires a signed plan of care by the patient’s treating physician.

Do not worry if you fall into either of those categories.  We can assist in obtaining the referral or signed plan of care in order to get you the skilled physical therapy you require in a timely manner.  Please call our office at 571-261-9234 to get scheduled.
